About Tide & Thread

Tide & Thread is a loungewear brand born from the quiet beauty of the Lowcountry and the Carolina coast. Our collections are shaped by the places we know and love, where moss hangs from ancient oaks, dunes roll softly toward the sea, and time seems to slow just enough to notice the small things.

We design with those peaceful moments in mind. Whether it is the early morning stillness on a dock or the hush of a breeze through the marsh, we want our pieces to reflect the feeling of being there. Some of our designs feature subtle prints. Others lean into texture and tone. But every detail is intentional and inspired by the natural world around us.

The colors we choose echo the landscape. Muted greens, sun-washed neutrals, and shades that feel like salt and sand. We think of how palmetto leaves rustle, how sunlight looks on river water, and how it feels to walk barefoot across a porch in summer.

At Tide & Thread, we believe clothing should feel familiar in the best way. It should be beautiful, well made, and connected to something deeper. We create loungewear that is easy to wear and easy to love, made for slow mornings, open windows, and days when life feels just a little more meaningful.

Creating Tide & Thread

I grew up in North Carolina, with strong family ties to the South Carolina Lowcountry, which quickly became a second home for me. From an early age, I felt connected to the peaceful beauty of that region, the marshes, the sea breeze, and the steady rhythm of the tides. My family has always appreciated the Lowcountry for its simplicity and calm, and I carry that same love with me.

I’ve always been drawn to making things by hand. I never imagined that would lead me to designing clothing, but I wanted to create something that felt real and personal, something rooted in the places that shaped me... so I bought an embroidery machine! The designs on my clothing is inspired by those landscapes and memories. Each design feels like a small piece of home.

Tide & Thread is more than a clothing brand to me, it’s a way to share the quiet beauty of the Carolinas and the sense of comfort I’ve always found there. It’s about honoring where I’m from, and the second home that helped shape who I am.
